Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Muddler
  • Strainer

Ingredients

  • 4 inches English cucumber roughly chopped
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Holy Basil Tulsi powder or 1 Tulsi tea bag steeped and cooled
  • 4 oz coconut water
  • 2 oz sparkling water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar or honey
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Ice
  • Cucumber ribbon and mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  • In a shaker or jar, muddle cucumber and mint leaves until cucumber releases its juice and mint is fragrant.
  • Add Holy Basil powder (or steeped Tulsi tea), lime juice, agave, and sea salt. Stir to combine.
  • Add coconut water and ice. Shake gently for 10 seconds.
  • Strain into a wine glass or tumbler filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
  • Garnish with a cucumber ribbon (use a vegetable peeler) wrapped around the inside of the glass and a mint sprig.

Notes

Best consumed immediately for peak refreshment. The cucumber flavor fades if made too far ahead. To use Tulsi tea instead of powder, steep one tea bag in 2 oz hot water for 5 minutes, cool completely, then use in place of the powder.
